People Feeding People Dinner a Success! Thank you

Thank you to everyone for all your support in attending, volunteering, donating, playing, cooking, and every action it took to make the People Feeding People dinner a huge success. We came together and celebrated the local resources we have accessible and we, as a community, see the value in sharing with the global community. Thank you with the sincerest gratitude to all.

Your attendance and contributions brought in a little over $5000 with $2000 going into our local economy to support our local farmers and businesses and $3000 left for the Pennies for Partnerships – People Feeding People Outreach.

Below are some photos from the People Feeding People Dinner October 17th, 2013.

Thank you again to everyone for your generosity and compassionate action.

I will soon update you from India as to how your contributions will be put to use with plans to discuss advancing the sack garden project and initial construction of a pilot program shade house.

If you are interested in Alternative Compassion Gifts for the holidays we will be taking donations for family sack garden tools and kits to be purchased for as little as $25.00 for each family. This sack garden will allow each family the opportunity to start their own small garden and increase their vegetable consumption for the family along with offering the children more nutrition. We will also offer $15.00 rice bags, same as last year, which are 55 pound bags of organic rice and feeds a family of 5 for approximately three weeks.

If you donate through Paypal now for one of the amounts above we will email you an electronic gift card you can print and give to your loved one. If interested in an alternative compassion gift for the holidays you can also email me if you prefer to send a check.
